Sharing Information Between Microsoft Office Documents (con't)

This example places a portion of an Excel spreadsheet into a Word document. This method can be used in a variety of other ways such as placing entire files. See the help within your MS Office application for more information.

Launch Word and open up your destination file. Also launch Excel and open the source file containing the information you want to link into your Word file.

In Excel, select the information you want to share. Under the Edit menu,select Copy or select the Copy button * in the toolbar.
